Lucas Blondheim, known here as Cool Hand Luke, is my best friend. We grew up together in a South Dakota village, with dreams of becoming superheroes and rap stars. Luke is a legend in my eyes because he followed his dream of becoming an actor and moved to New York after high school.

I wrote this song a couple days before his wedding, where I was his best man. Our mutual friend Matt Kaminski started playing the verse chords and I wrote the lyrics driving to Boston for the wedding.

This recording is by Scott MacDonald at the El Grito Independence Day festival in Salinas, CA. Omar Murillo is rocking the drums.
