I wrote this song before quitting my job, hitting the road and then moving to San Francisco last summer.

It’s been so long since I felt awake

Falling asleep at the wheel

I’ve been wasting too many days

Stuck in this boredom that I feel

But slowly I’m switching up my pace

Looking out on an open highway

I know my friends won’t go away

And my future cannot wait

The ceiling, the ceiling’s too low
